Tavill co-leads the firm’s focus on real assets, which encompasses agriculture and timber globally across primay, secondary and coinvests. She is also involved in leading the firm’s ESG efforts. She’s based in Sydney. Prior to her time at StepStone, she was head of alternatives at AMP Capital, responsible for the alternative investment platform, including a private equity program, an infrastructure program, a real asset (e.g., agriculture, asset leasing and distressed assets) program and a hedge fund program. Prior to that, she spent five years at van Eyk Research in Sydney, the last four as head of research. Before moving to Australia, she was an executive director at Goldman Sachs Investment Management, responsible for its UK small- and mid-cap portfolios. Tavill has earned a master’s degree in finance and economics from the London School of Economics, and a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance (honours) from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
